Our Maths camps are designed to give learners engaging extra classes in a secure, inspiring environment out in the countryside of Gauteng. Not only will participants gain critical mathematic skills and knowledge but they will get to develop soft skills and career guidance.
The objective of the camp is to assist learners, develop critical thinking skills, and improve their Mathematics, to have a better chance for University entry.
The camp will cover the first half of the year’s mathetics curriculum, and prepare learners for the rest of the year. Campers will have an opportunity to have a one-on-one with tutors to outline topics they are not confident in, learn exam techniques, make new friends, and engage in career guidance talks in the evening.
The camp will cover various topics depending on the grade level, we will cover topics for term one and term two.
Students will gain a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts, problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and an appreciation for the importance of maths in everyday life.
Students should bring appropriate clothing for practical activities, a notebook, writing utensils, and any other materials specified by the camp organizers. Students should bring a laptop and/or tablet.
A detailed pack list will be sent to parents closer to the camp.
There may be some informal assessments or quizzes during the camp to gauge student understanding, but there will not be any formal exams or grades given.
Yes, parents can drop off their children on day 1 and collect them on the last day at the set time.
The camps run for 6 Days, between Monday and Saturday. Students have the option to attend between one week, two weeks, or all three weeks of the program.
